I would want to propose a feature improvement that will greatly improve our use case for capturing single-person Teams sessions. At the moment, Teams requires two people or more to start recording. In certain situations, such as in-person meetings where a single person wishes to record, transcribe, and summarize the meeting material using our current transcription/summarization tool, this constraint presents difficulties for users.
The requirement for two attendees creates an additional layer of annoyance, particularly when the meeting’s main purpose is to record and summarize information for the single attendee. Note that solo meeting recordings are possible with Teams with Copilot, but this requires an expensive Copilot license. We would like to continue utilizing our proprietary solution.
Feature Request: Is it possible to change the minimum number of participants needed to begin a recording so that recordings with just one person can be made?
This change would significantly improve our workflow and bring it into line with Copilot’s features without the need for further, expensive licenses.
Thank you.
